Llandudno is a seaside resort and town that is situated on
the North Wales coast, which attracts thousands
of visitors every year, due to its stunning location and wealth of activities
and attractions. Llandudno is the largest seaside resort in Wales , and is
often considered to be ‘Queen of the Welsh Resorts’. Llandudno is very easily
accessed, with great transport links by car and rail, making it extremely easy
to get to. The crescent shaped ‘front’ shoreline of Llandudno homes a great
range of hotels and restaurants, with plenty of great places to stay.
The main shopping town of Llandudno is just behind the hotels on the
front, and spread down a main road, all the way to a new shopping complex,
which consists of some of the big name department stores you will be very
familiar with. The wealth of shops located within Llandudno, North Wales makes it perfect
for those of you who love to shop whilst on a trip away. There are various
traditional welsh shops, local souvenir shops and book shops also located
around the town so you can pick up a present for your family or friends. There
is also the Victoria
shopping centre, located in the middle of the town, with many other shops and
tea rooms situated within it.
Some of the main attractions to Llandudno include the Great
Orme, Llandudno Pier, the Ski Slope and the Venue Cymru theatre. These alone
attract thousands of visitors, as the Orme is always bustling with people and
entertainment, along with extremely scenic and breathtaking views. The
Llandudno Pier hosts small stores, traditional arcades and small stall where
you can eat. The pier is a great place to spend some time, as it is a lovely
walk down the end and back. Llandudno artificial ski slope is perfect for those
who want to have a go at skiing, tubing or snowboarding. There is also a
toboggan track situated by the ski slope, which is great fun for all the
family. Venue Cymru is a newly developed
theatre that often hosts some of the biggest acts touring around the UK ,
with recent visitors including Derren Brown, Jimmy Carr and Peter Andre.
In the summer season, the Llandudno promenade is extremely
beautiful, and a wonderful place to relax, with thousands of people taking to
the beach to relax and even enjoy boat tours. The shore line stretches all the
way from the start of Llandudno up to the Great Orme, making there no shortage of
coastline. Nearby towns and attractions that are great to visit whilst in the
area include Conwy, another major tourist combination; which is a castle town,
with the fantastic historical Conwy
Castle . Other great
places to visit around the area include Colwyn
Bay , Rhyl, Beaumaris, Betws-Y-Coed and
Anglesey . The wealth of accommodation North Wales can really be seen throughout the town and surrounding areas. Llandudno, alone with many of these
other towns, are perfect for tourists and holiday getaways, making North Wales
a perfect to place to go on holiday or for a short break with family, friends
and partners. You won't find an area more suited for a getaway.
