Your Guide to a Round Wales Road Odyssey
Wales has one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world - it’s famous for its breathtaking scenery, castles, lakes, hills, mountains and coasts, which all have fantastic road access and coverage. Be sure to take your camera or get some drone footage if you can. This is a good chance to visit Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) the highest mountain in all the UK.
Llanberis to Llandudno
It’s the day we wave goodbye to these majestic mountains, and hello to the shimmering oceans of the North Wales coastline.
Llandudno to Holyhead
Crossing the Menai strait onto the Isle of Anglesey, a gorgeous temperate wonderland which is a little flatter than the mountains you can typically see in the background of North Wales scenery.
Holyhead to Abersoch
Say Hywl Fawr to the port town of Holyhead and the scenic isle of Anglesey and embark on a journey to the Llyn Peninsula’s fingertip.
Abersoch to Aberaearon
Journey along the Westerly coast of this great country and be treated to miles upon miles of breath-taking coastline.
Aberaeron to Swansea.
It’s the final leg of the journey, and it takes us from Aberearon southward to Wales’ other big city. Take in the sights of Swansea. Afterwards you can head east back to Cardiff, full circle.
