What to do in Llandudno

Llandudno is a popular seaside resort town on the coast of North Wales. There are many things to do in Llandudno and attractions worth visiting. Llandudno includes many neighbouring townships, including Craig-Y-Don, Llanrhos and Penrhyn Bay. The town is situated between Rhyl and Bangor and is only 15 minutes away from Snowdonia.

One of the main attractions for Llandudno is its Victorian style. Llandudno was originally founded in the Victorian era as a holiday destination situated around the Great Orme, it was during this time that the Llandudno pier was built. There are many other attractions, such as Happy Valley, Venue Cymru, Parc Llandudno, the tram line, indoor skiing centre, high street with many popular outlets and shopping centre and much more.

The Copper Mines are one of the main attractions in Llandudno, located beneath the Great Orme. The Copper Mines tunnels date back to the Bronze Age, up to four thousand years ago, and attract many visitors, from tourists and cavers, to geologists and archaeologists.

Llandudno has two beaches; the North beach is the most popular with many hotels located along the promenade, including the Somerset Llandudno Hotel. The North beach and Llandudno pier are during the summer months; on the other side of town is the West Shore, another very appealing beach which is far less busy. There are often swans here, as well as a cafĂ© and children’s park, the beach offers stunning views of the Conwy mountains.
